OUR BOXING STYLE

Boxing challenges the mind mentally. As a coach and mentor, my formula is a potent combination of mentoring, personal discipline and training. Through my passion for training, I'd like to instill a fighting spirit to overcome all obstacles and adversity in life.

 

Classes are open to all abilities and ages, whether you're looking for a good workout, learn self-defense and build self-confidence or are aspiring to compete, I can teach you proper technique and fundamentals of the sweet science of boxing.

THE BENEFITS OF BOXING

Non-contact boxing exercises usually in a high-intensity interval training group setting have provided a significant reduction in symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and negative symptoms of schizophrenia.

Boxing provides
a cathartic release of anger and stress with evidence of improved mood, self-esteem, self-confidence, concentration, metabolic burden, strength and coordination.

MENTAL HEALTH & BOXING

The energy that is put into boxing training is known to help release aggression and all of the tension that leads to rage and anger. Boxing is a way to boost your endurance, increase your alertness, enhance your mood, support stress and anger management.

There have been a number of boxers who have openly discussed their own mental health problems. During their career and after their retirement from Mike Tyson, Arturo Gatti, Ricky Hatton, Tyson Fury, just to name a few. There are also a number of amateur boxers who are struggling thinking that they have nowhere to turn.

Enough is enough. Boxing can be more than just for amateurs and professionals; For money, prizes, or competitive reasons.

I'm more than just a boxing coach and fitness trainer. Now I'm proud to be a part of the healthcare continuum; which represents a systematic way to view the healthcare industry through different entry points. This helps to answer the questions; Why healthcare is needed, the type of care provided, which professional to choose, what's the intended outcome, what the person wants to accomplish, etc.

My role as boxing coach as well as an Elite Master Trainer in the healthcare continuum would be considered as preventive care by a fitness professional. No longer will boxing be considered as a brutal sport or just a competition, with a primary focus on winning. We are putting a spin and more modern interpretation on the sport of boxing representing a dynamic process with the goal of improving and extending the overall quality of lifeby combining boxing as a form of professional care with higher levels of self-care.
